Lufthansa

Project Brief:
To build up a opt-in database of HTML Email Newsletter subscribers using 3rd party email marketing campaigns

Interactivity used:
Interactive Email Marketing with embedded forms.

How it worked:

An interactive form was embedded into an incentivized HTML email that was sent out to multiple 3rd party rented databases.  The incentive was to register your details for a chance of winning a free flight to Europe.  Users were also provided with the option of opting into receiving newsletters from Lufthansa by clicking a opt-in box.
 
The embedded form meant that the majority of users would be able to interact directly with the email without having to click through to a competition page.  The fields included were:
 

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Id
  • Opt in to receive further marketing communication from Lufthansa
 
Once the user completed the form and pressed the ‘Submit’ button, they were then redirected to a specified landing page on the Lufthansa website.
 
All data collected was securely stored online in a real-time database for Lufthansa to monitor the response.
 
This mechanism provided them with a tangible form of tracking the response of each 3rd party database as well as creating an opt in database of potential customers.
